4 Yummy Low-Cal Holiday Cocktails

All I want for Christmas is booze that won’t give me a beer belly or make me feel full before I’ve even had any holiday eats. I’m making a list of my favorite semi-healthy holiday cocktail recipes and checking it twice so you can save room for some milk and cookies or whatever it is that satisfies your Holiday appetite. So cozy up in our favorite snowflake leggings and enjoy a guilt free drink by the fire.

All of these cocktails are on the “Nice List” while still being just a little bit naughty.

Poinsettia Cocktail  (170 Calories)

½ ounce Cointreau

2 ounces cranberry juice

4 ounces champagne

3 whole cranberries for garnish

Pour the Cointreau and cranberry juice into a champagne flute and stir well. Top with champagne and cranberries. Enjoy!

Mulled Wine (165 Calories)

Recipe makes 8 servings

4 cups apple cider

1 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon

¼ cup honey

2 cinnamon sticks

1 orange, zested and juiced

4 whole cloves

3 star anise

Peel of one orange for garnish

Combine ingredients in a large saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Pour into a mug or glass and garnish with orange peel.

Skinny Eggnog (175 Calories)

Recipe makes 5 servings

5 cups cold 1% milk

1 3.4ounc package of vanilla instant pudding mix

¾ teaspoon rum extract

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cinnamon stick

Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until mixed. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a little sprinkle of nutmeg.

Vodka Soda- Holiday Style (67 calories)

1 ounce vodka

1 can of club soda

1 lemon wedge

1 sprig of mint

5 cranberries

Combine vodka and club soda in a large glass with ice. Squeeze wedge of lemon and garnish with cranberries and basil for a holiday look.
