I love a good at home workout but sometimes it can be hard to feel motivated and know exactly the right sequence of moves to do! Also, sometimes you want to try a new kind of workout without the judgmental eye of the person who takes the class daily! So I’ve rounded up what I think are the 5 Best YouTube Workout Channels. These are perfect for anyone who is short on time, doesn’t want to pay for a gym membership, is a stay at home mom (or dad!) with little ones to look after, or anyone who just loves a good sweat session in the comfort of their own home. And just because you’re working out at home, doesn’t mean you don’t deserve to feel good in what you’re wearing so I’m going to recommend some must have pieces to take your workout to the next level.
I was introduced to DoYouYoga when they began this 30-Day Yoga Challenge with Erin Motz. Not only is Erin super down to earth, she makes everyone feel like the ultimate yogi levels are attainable! On their YouTube channel, they have a seemingly endless collection of videos that range from breaking down individual poses to 30-day yoga challenges for men to yoga focused on particular body parts or times of day.
I stumbled on Adrienne’s channel through this Yoga for Weightloss video I found on Pinterest. I had done yoga many times before but had a hard time finding an at home yoga practice that was a full workout, was taught by someone who’s personality I enjoyed and was above a beginner level but wasn’t quite at doing the crow poses & headstands….this video was perfect because I was able to understand the moves and was sweating by the end. It was a complete workout. I regularly see her channel recommended by friends and fellow fitness lovers alike. On her channel, you’ll find videos for every situation you could imagine and then some. Her videos range from Yoga for When You’re in a Bad Mood (above) to Morning Yoga Sequences to Yoga for Hangovers to Yoga at Your Desk. Her soothing voice and ability to crack jokes while in downward dog makes Yoga with Adrienne one of my favorite YouTube yoga channels.
Just a few shorts months ago this video which was created to shine a light on the harmful effects of body shaming and cyber bullying and work to fight against it was everywhere! I remember sharing this on my personal Facebook page before I even realized it was connected to a particular YouTube channel because of how important the message is. Cassey Ho of Blogilates is the PERFECT person to be teaching fitness videos because she’s got a likeable personality and the best energy! Check out her “I Really Like You Squat Challenge” set to Carly Rae Jepsen’s I Really Like You, your legs will be on fire in just under 5 minutes. Her channel is loaded with videos from this 3 Minute Turbo Abs Workout to this 5 Minute Long Lean Legs workout that keep you on your toes the whole time, literally. Cassey even includes videos for healthy snacks and healthy breakfast ideas!
POPSUGAR Fitness is a fantastic resource for at home workouts! Anna Renderer, who you’ll find hosting many of their workout videos, is extremely motivating and will never make you feel like you can’t do it. When you search their videos, you’ll quickly find that the most popular videos on their channel are complete workouts that range from 10-40 minutes making them great at home or on the go workouts. Need a longer one? Combine shorter videos for arms, legs and abs for a whole body workout! I found their YouTube channel a couple years ago when I needed a breakdown of some simple workouts using the cable pulley machine at my gym.
FitnessBlender was recommended to me by my besties little sister…and I totally see why she loves it! There have cardio videos, weights only videos, and videos that mix cardio and weights so there are plenty of options for at home workouts. The video above for the At Home Cardio Workout, is designed to allow you to put on your favorite motivating music in the background! Not only do they have a great resource of mixed style workout videos, they also have over 350 full length workout videos for free which is AMAZING for anyone who likes to workout at home.
