National SMA Awareness Month is coming up in August. Help spread awareness of this disease and pave the way for a cure!
Still unfamiliar with SMA? SMA stands for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA is a terminal, degenerative disease that results in the loss of nerves in the spinal cord and weak muscles. SMA inhibits the ability to walk, stand, sit, eat, breathe and even swallow. If you’d like to learn more about SMA, you can find more enlightening information on Hope for SMA’s official website.
Repeat Possessions has long supported Hope for SMA’s tenacious battle against Spinal Muscular Atrophy and efforts to raise awareness and funding in support of research for a cure.
Check the Hope for SMA’s Facebook page to enter the raffle for the inspiring bracelet so that you can support SMA awareness in a fun way. And proudly wear a message of hope during SMA Awareness Month and beyond.
Just follow Hope for SMA on Facebook. And post two facts about SMA awareness or something you know about the disease for an entrance into the drawing to win the HOPE bracelet!
In addition to the raffle, there will also be a Charity Ball presented by the Newport Beach Police Association and Hope for SMA. All proceeds from the Charity Ball will benefit children diagnosed with SMA. The event will take place on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 6:00-10:00pm aboard the Eternity Yacht in Newport Beach! So mark your calendars and save the date!
