I’m a huge fan of all kinds of textured leggings! Tights are great and all but leggings offer more warmth & are WAY more comfortable compared to a pair of tights digging into your stomach. Textured leggings are great because they add a fun bit of dimension to your outfit without overwhelming it. If you’re new to mixing patterns or textures, textured leggings are a great place to start! If you subscribe to the Repeat Possessions emails, you’ll see that we do seamless featured products. Today’s featured seamless product is the Nikibiki Ribbed Leggings! They come in 4 colors: Brown, Charcoal, Ivory and Taupe so you’re covered with any outfit you want to put together this fall/winter. Since styling textured leggings may be something you’re not used to, we’re showing you 9 GREAT ways to wear textured leggings below.
1. Slouchy Sweater
For the ultimate adorable fall look, pair a slouchy sweater like our chunky knit sweater with the ribbed Nikibiki Leggings in taupe or brown. Finish off the look with worn in booties & a southwestern-style inspired bag!
2. Chambray Top
Chambray shirt are the ultimate neutral! They go with everything…dress them up, dress them down, layer them, rock them solo…there is not outfit that a great chambray shirt can’t enhance. For that reason, pair this ultra soft boyfriend style chambray shirt with our Nikibiki Houndstooth Leggings with the bottoms rolled up and sleek pair of oxfords.
3. Monochromatic Layers
This is probably my favorite way to rock leggings. I LOVE lots of layers, big chunky scarves and a monochromatic look. Pair our charcoal Ribbed Leggings with this long sleeve tunic top with open back and a chunky scarf like our black, white & gray pattern infinity scarf.
4. Structured Blazer
The best way to take leggings from casual to sophisticated is to pair them with structured pieces like a great blazer & some lace up boots. Pair these Nikibiki Vintage Modal Distressed Leggings with this blue blazer & some black heeled boots for a polished but comfortable look.
5. Sweater and Skirt
Sometimes you want to rock a great mini skirt in fall but it’s too cold to go bare legged, and tights just don’t provide enough warmth…that’s where textured leggings come in! Pair your sleek pencil skirt with ribbed leggings in charcoal and this tunic sweater with pockets for an adorable look that perfect for the casual office or a coffee date.
6. Ankle Booties and Socks
This look is a great way to bring warmth and whimsy to any outfit! This would pair with anything from a dress to a skirt to structured twill shorts….Such a great look for fall. Choose the ribbed textured leggings that best compliment or blend with your outfit, and pair them up with booties & a big slouchy sock. They important thing here is that the socks are loose around your ankle, you just want them to have enough fabric that they can scrunch up around your ankle for an effortless, but polished look.
7. Sweater Dress
A sweater dress is such an iconic look but make sure to grab one that’s long enough to look like a dress (rather than a tunic) but not so long that it drowns you or covers your cute leggings. I love the great vibe that textured leggings mixed with a think sweater dress creates. Depending on the material, they can be a bit itchy or woven varieties and be too sparse allowing cold air in so throw one of these 3/4 length sleeve seamless dresses underneath for protection from cold or itchiness. Choose the ribbed textured leggings that best match your sweater dress!
8. Leather Jacket
Like a great chambray shirt, almost every outfit can be made better with a leather jacket. Take a cue from Mary Seng with Happily Gray and wear textured leggings in charcoal with a statement leather jacket, a black tee and boots. Seal off the cool factor of this look with a long necklace and tousled hair.
9. Dress and Layered Sweater
I’ve always loved the vintage look that a dress and leggings topped with an oversize sweater creates! Pair charcoal or taupe ribbed leggings, with a flirty dress and top it off with a great oversize sweater.
